1/2/10

Lots of Blah.

I grabbed this book, A Most Wanted Man, off the bookshelf spontaneously and just finished wasting several hours of my life reading it. Yawn! Oh my goodness, I could have cared less about the characters in this book. And it used too many big words and there was not a second of gripping suspense. Someone, please, recommend a good suspense/mystery/spy novel to me, and remind me never to "guess" that a book might be good again.

Also, I feel miserable. Tired, depressed and awful. I waited 4 hours to get my blood tested today and no, I don't have mono or low iron. Maybe I am not getting enough sunlight? Too much sugar, perhaps?

  1. I am sorry you are feeling cruddy. It has felt like the winter of never-ending bugs at our place. And I HATE when blood tests come back with nothing. An explanation is always nice! ;)
You will notice we will not be at church today. I'm a little sad we are missing. Can you believe our kids are sunbeams?! But I thought we'd avoid passing on the sore throats/booger noses that the entire family has been dealing with this week.

Lets play when we are both feeling better. Maybe later next week? And as far as books go, I have heard that Hunger Games is a good one, but I like the classic, predictable love stories myself. Alan loves Nelson DeMille novels. Maybe give them a try?

  3. Read House of Brede by Rumor Godden.

I wonder if you're having seasonal affective disorder. I always get it around this time of year.

  4. Thanks so much for the recommendations, I can't wait to read both of those books. Sarah you will love seeing Rachel at Nursery. I wanted to take a picture! (but I restrained myself :) And yes let's play soon. Have you been to the hill by your house? We went there one day on a whim and there was this awesome tunnel and some cool jumps for sledding :)
