Lately I have been busy reading a 750-page Western called Lonesome Dove. I quit watching TV altogether and started going to bed at 7:00 just so I could get through it. I'm not sure I'll ever watch TV again I loved reading before bed so much! The book was wonderful, a bit rough around the edges at times but definitely gratifying and a worthwhile read. It made me want to eat beef steaks and bacon and struggle a bit. Not that my life is boring by any means. Here's what I've been up to: are you ready for it?
Preventing the spread of Disease!!!
Battling Pollution!!!
Taming Tigers!!!
Fighting Hunger!!!
And then suddenly, and without notice, making advances in the study of the electromagnetic spectrum!!!
I know it's a bit of a cliffhanger, and I wish I had time to go into more detail, but I really have to go clean my kitchen. At least I get to listen to talk radio while I do.
All this is just proving that motherhood is the hardest job in the world! What an awesome lady you are. I guess your reward is that you have the most adorable children. Glad you liked Lonesome Dove. It takes a little bit to get into it, but by the end you know why it won the Pulitzer Prize.

ReplyDeleteSarah, you are so smart and funny :) And I totally agree with you on the reading before bed thing. For a few weeks I just couldn't tear my face away from the computer once I learned you can watch t.v. episodes online, so I was playing catch up on the last 6 months or so of everything I was missing on t.v.
ReplyDeleteSo needless to say, I watched myself sick. I quit t.v. pretty much cold and decided I was going to read before bed every night instead. It's a wonderful way to relax and wind down at the end of the day.
Anyway, I love Jesse and Breanna so much I can't even stand it sometimes. Great pics! I wish I could be on all those "adventures" with you guys!
